COURSE OVERVIEW
Hypertension remains one of the most common disease processes in patients presenting to the physician’s office visit as well as the emergency department. This abnormal elevation if not timely intervened increases the risk of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Elevated blood pressure can have lasting effects on the vital organs. Lowering blood pressure in hypertensive patients remains the primary target for the physician. This module gives a detailed insight into the different classes of antihypertensive drugs, therapeutic uses, and use in hypertensive patients with comorbid conditions.
